I personally do not think is a matter of money. It`s more desperation, the cult is dieing very slowly.
I did the trolly thing once, and I thought at the time, this is stupid.
i was just wondering, do you think the trolley cart stationary witnessing is to slow down the literature distribution at not-at-homes?.
it basically traps several shifts of pioneers to a cart or table and keeps the placement count way down compared to leaving something at every door in a neighborhood.. is money the main motivation here?
(besides staged facebook pics lol).

i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).
Crazyguy. I feel for you, realizing that you have been misled and wanting to share this "truth" with your partner is a very upright thing to do, but the bOrg indoctrination is so strong. Your wife feeling so bad shows that CD is having an affect.
My wife has moved into a different room in the house. She does not greet me in the mornings nor does she say goodnight. Trying to start a conversation about anything is not possible, not even about the weather. But anyway I am there for her, as you are there for your wife.
As for me I am picking up the things I left 28 years ago, I restarted tae-kwon-do, and will restart gliding, things I did before being assimilated.
so, the latest "kids" kingdom melody video is out.. here are some screenshots:.
.
yep, that's right, they showed a kid with a teddy bear getting baptized.. here's the video in full for documentation, if you can stomach it.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ellrtyj_maq.
i think most on here will be familiar with the caller hook up system that many congregations use.
visit about 2 months ago.
during our servant and elders meeting he was talking up the importance of meeting attendance and how we "gods spirit appointed men" must take the lead on making every meeting.
i always thought it was ridiculous that when a person was disfellowshipped they didn't tell us why.
everybody would speculate, but we wouldn't know the real reason.
also i thought they were only supposed to be disfellowshipped if they weren't repentant and wouldn't stop doing the wrong thing.
About 25 years ago, a brother returned to Europe after living in the USA for much of his adult life, he was almost 70 when he returned, he wanted to spend the last few years of his life in the land of his birth. He was quite humble, but unpleasant in his appearance but I liked him. He started attending the congregation I was in but was not liked by the then PO, and he was viciously mobbed out of the congregation by this elder. He started attending another congregation some distance away, but because he was old and also had a disability he was more of a liability than an asset, and he was not really treaty very well in that congregation either.
The older ones in any congregation really do need the support of the younger ones in the congregation, but he received none. I was in a different congregation and was not fully aware of his needs, and as I was a pioneer at the time I had little spare time. I did make an effort to visit him once a month, just to have a chat and see how he was, he never told me of the problems he was having.
One interested person, a woman 25 years his junior, took
pity on him and went to visit him 2-3 times a week, would clean his home and cook
for him. Well the elders found out that she was visiting him regularly and did
something about it. As she was not even an unbaptized publisher they could not
do anything to her, so they form a JC and disfellowshipped the brother. He told me the
next time I visited him and I listened to his story. Being a member of the bOrg
collective I was obedient and stopped all contact with him. Not long after
being disfellowshipped he died, with a broken heart after serving Jehovah
almost all his life.
Fast forward 20 years (last year), I was at the annual district convention and
sitting in front of me was an elderly man belonging to the congregation where
this brother had been a member. So I mentioned the old brother's name and this
elderly man, an elder, started to explain to me why they disfellowshipped him,
I did not ask why, I asked nothing. This elder demonstrated to be by the way he
talked to me about the subject that the elders 20 years ago had no valid reason
to disfellowship this older brother. What was his crime, he was old and
required help and received it from someone 25 years his younger.
What possible rule did this guy break?
when my niece was very little (over 20 years ago), barely walking or talking, my mother decided to teach her "where jehovah lives".
she would coach her and say, "where does jehovah live?
" in a sing-song voice.

You wasted 2 mins. 20 secs of your life watching that.

i was thinking of this when i was sitting at the kingdom hall today.
one of the paragraphs in the watchtower stated that the type/anti type teachings were too hard for some to understand.
i could never figure them out never made sense to me.
i am not greatly familiar with the belief of jehovah's witness but am learning more through a school project.
.
what is the jehovah's witness view on organised crime?
Dominic.
It is nice that you have found this site, but to be honest I don't think this is the right site to ask such questions. But feel free to look at the views people have on this site have.
There maybe someone on this site who can point you in the right direction, and I am sure they will show you the necessary respect.
Whatever you find out on this subject make sure you compare the results of what JWs believe to what others believe. This is a right you have and nobody can take it away from you.
